Newton had a fun day today. We went for a brief car ride so that I could drop some bills off at the post office. Tonight I hung out with Lindsay and Tanner. We went to a karaoke bar. They have always been huge fans of Newton. Since they just live down the street, we carpooled to the Shack Sports Grill. When they dropped me off, they came in to see Newton. He was so excited to see them. They were quite impressed by how far he has come along since they last saw him at Halloween.

Newton is doing quite well. The side effects that he has encountered with round 2 of chemo have been minimal. He is back to his old routine, which includes going to bed by midnight. Tonight I had a ton of work that I had to get done. I ended up staying up until 3 am. I laugh because each half hour Newton would come out of his room to check on me and to let me know that he thought it was time for me to go to bed. He is just the best.

Newton is now back to his old routine. He is eating his food like a champ and his poop is back to normal. I think that he is feeling much better. His energy level is up, but he still gets pretty tired easily. Our daily walks take us to the corner of the street and then we have to turn around. It isn't much, but I know how much he loves to take walks. He gets to excited when I get his collar and leash out. You can't help but smile at his excitement.

Yippie! Newton ate his breakfast this morning including the kibble. I mixed some canned pumpkin in with the kibble in hopes that it would help solid him up. He is getting more solid, but his stool is still a bit soft.

His energy level is up and he has been playing with all of the toys in his toy box. It makes me so happy to see that he is still full of life and pain free. I just hope that the chemo is working. I hate the fact that there is no cure for cancer.

Newton is still lethargic and is very picky when it comes to what foods he is willing to eat. For breakfast, he had some canned pumpkin (he seems to really like canned pumpkin), some tuna, and some canned food. It wasn't much, but at least it was something. His stool is still soft.

For lunch, I picked up some plain double cheeseburgers from McDonalds. Newton was all about eating his cheeseburgers. At least he is consistent when it comes to eating McDonalds :-)

By dinnertime, Newton seemed to be feeling better. He still didn't want to eat any kibble, but he had a lot more energy.
