Newton is now back to his old routine. He is eating his food like a champ and his poop is back to normal. I think that he is feeling much better. His energy level is up, but he still gets pretty tired easily. Our daily walks take us to the corner of the street and then we have to turn around. It isn't much, but I know how much he loves to take walks. He gets to excited when I get his collar and leash out. You can't help but smile at his excitement.

Yippie! Newton ate his breakfast this morning including the kibble. I mixed some canned pumpkin in with the kibble in hopes that it would help solid him up. He is getting more solid, but his stool is still a bit soft.

His energy level is up and he has been playing with all of the toys in his toy box. It makes me so happy to see that he is still full of life and pain free. I just hope that the chemo is working. I hate the fact that there is no cure for cancer.

Newton is still lethargic and is very picky when it comes to what foods he is willing to eat. For breakfast, he had some canned pumpkin (he seems to really like canned pumpkin), some tuna, and some canned food. It wasn't much, but at least it was something. His stool is still soft.

For lunch, I picked up some plain double cheeseburgers from McDonalds. Newton was all about eating his cheeseburgers. At least he is consistent when it comes to eating McDonalds :-)

By dinnertime, Newton seemed to be feeling better. He still didn't want to eat any kibble, but he had a lot more energy.

Today Newton was still quite lethargic and just wanted to sleep on the sofa and watch TV. He didn't want to eat any kibble and he had loose stool. So, I gave him the meds that Dr. Perry had given us. The meds seem to help by dinnertime. He still didn't want to eat kibble, but he did have some canned food and some tuna. He is doing good when it comes to drinking water and he still won't pass up a treat. Since I have found luck with plain double cheeseburgers from McDonalds work in the past, I will probably pick some up tomorrow.

Today's was Newton's second round of chemo. I was glad that our appointment was at 11:30 since I went to the Madonna concert last night :-) This session went much smoother than the last session. Newton and I checked in and were waiting in the waiting room. There was a man with his Great Dane that was checking out us. He kept getting closer and closer. Newton was being a good boy and was just laying down. The girl Great Dane started sniffing him from toe to head. He got a bit overbearing and Newton got up and started barking at her. I told him to lay down which he did. From then on he wouldn't look at the Great Dane. It cracked me up. He is definently his Newton self.

His favorite nurse, Chris, took him back and told me that he would be ready at 2 pm. I gave them my cell number and told them to call me when he was finished. I went to lunch and then took a nice nap in the car since I was so tired from the night before. Newton was ready at 2 pm. He did great.

He slept the whole way home and didn't really want to eat anything once we got home. I'm guessing his was very tired from his big day and that he may have had an upset stomach.
